7 Minute Read

When I crashed and burned out of ‘old school’ offline Network Marketing a few years back, I started looking for an alternative that I could build the 21st Century way – online. That’s how I came across Affiliate Marketing.

My name’s Richard, and if you’re an aspiring but inexperienced online ‘Wantrepreneur’ like I was, looking at affiliate marketing for the first time, it can be confusing and a bit overwhelming. So my aim in this article is to give you some clarity and a comprehensive overview of Affiliate Marketing in simple, layman’s language.

I will also show you how you can get started straight away with your own Affiliate Marketing business and learn how to do it properly with essential, high quality but simple to follow training and support.

You can read all about it here.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Put very simply, Affiliate marketing is a way to promote someone else’s products or services in return for a commission without actually selling anything.

For example, have you ever bought a product or service through personal recommendation, or have you recommended a product or service to someone else that they went out and bought?

Let’s say for example that you visit a new restaurant in town and you are absolutely blown away! The food, the service, the wine, the staff – absolutely top notch! You’re so impressed that you immediately go out and tell all your friends about it. When they go and visit, does the restaurant pay you a percentage of their bill in return for you bringing them that extra business that they might otherwise not have got? Wouldn’t that be nice!

But tha’ts basically how Affiliate Marketing works. The Affiliate is the link between the Supplier and the Customer. You join a company’s affiliate program, share their products by word of mouth, social media, blogging or whatever, using the unique trackable links they give you, and get paid whenever someone makes a purchase through your link.
